Officials report a Graniteville woman was killed Friday after being hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Highway 25 and Sweetwater Road. A separate note mentions a 2A Oklahoma transfer will play for USC Aiken.
A Florida judge approved a settlement for the James Brown estate giving nearly half to a charitable trust, a quarter to his widow Tomi Rae Hyme Brown and the rest to Brown’s adult children. The plan funds a museum or memorial burial site on the singer’s burial land with non DNA testing for heirs. The widow expressed relief and gratitude as trustees are named to promote Brown’s legacy.
