An unidentified European man arriving on a foreign airline carried a suitcase bomb that killed himself and a female guard and wounded 10 Israelis at Tel Aviv's international airport. Airport officials said the blast occurred after a Dutch passport in the man's name Hugh Miller triggered a security search.
A small package addressed to the Soviet airline exploded in the baggage room at New Delhi's international airport. En route from Indonesia via Thai Singapore and Japanese airlines it spent three hours in the area before detonation. Sixty windows were shattered but no injuries were reported.
Police reported at least 44 more dead and 77 wounded during another night of fighting in Beirut and eastern and northern Lebanon. The wounded include Raymond Edde, a leftist-backed Christian candidate in the recent presidential election, recovering from a foot wound in an attack by Christian foes.
3270 voters approved a 1.7 million bond to expand Aiken Technical Education. The plan seeks 1.7 million from federal sources and 300 thousand from the state, with applications to EDA for 1.1 million and CPRC for 600 thousand. Construction urged for June 1977 and occupancy by September 1978.

The United Presbyterian Church General Assembly in Baltimore, closing its eight day convention, narrowly recognizes the possibility of ordaining an avowed homosexual minister in the future. The body voted that it would be improper to ordain now but adopted a report noting potential future change and that current positions may not define God’s Word for the Church.
Weather outlook shows showers possible tomorrow with a 10 percent chance tonight and 30 percent Thursday. Temperatures will reach mid 70s with overnight lows around 50. Friday and Saturday may bring more showers, while Sunday should be fair with most highs in the 70s and 80s in the eastern area.
