Monetta man killed in Mount Pleasant Road motorcycle crash
Aiken County coroner reports Jesse B. Keats, 57, of Old Shoals Road, died after his 2001 Harley collided with a deer on Mount Pleasant Road about 1 a.m. Saturday. He was traveling south and was ejected, pronounced dead at the scene.

East Aiken Elementary won best overall entry as the James L. Hammons Marine Corps League announced an all expense paid Bahamas cruise winner Laura Norton. A wreath laying ceremony at Aiken County Veterans Memorial Park follows on Monday at 11 a.m.
