Garvin honored for 30 years volunteering with VITA
Tim Garvin of Aiken was recognized for three decades of service with VITA the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. VITA operates under the IRS providing free tax preparation and e filing for qualified low to moderate income residents at the H Odell Weeks Activities Center with support from ACTS the United Way of Aiken County and the City of Aiken. In 2017 the Weeks Center site had 24 certified volunteers filing returns for more than 1400 taxpayers mostly from Aiken County.
