Passenger’s Suspicious Claim Diverts Jet to Bangor
A US Airways flight from Paris to North Carolina was diverted to Bangor Maine after a French passenger handed a note claiming a surgically implanted device raising terror fears. Officials said no danger existed after medical checks. two F 15 fighters escorted the 179 passengers and nine crew to Bangor International Airport.
