The City of Aiken’s Board of Zoning Appeals voted 4 2 to grant a special exception for the Aiken Corporation to develop an armory around a 30 000 square foot building in Willow Run Industrial Park. The 8.35 acre site is zoned Limited Manufacturing requiring city approval for government uses. Wade Brodie confirms plans to sell the property to Alan Brodie.
Aiken County Council's Administrative Committee asks Baird & Co to perform a special audit comparing batch receipts from funds collected to deposits in the Treasurer's Office. The panel debates adding testing to compare daily or monthly totals with deposits using the county computer system to pull numbers.
