Local U S Open qualifier winner shoots 65 at Planterra Ridge
Scott Brown, a North Augusta resident and NCAA Division II player of the year for USC Aiken, shot a 5 under 65 to take first in a local U S Open qualifier at Planterra Ridge Golf Club Peachtree City Georgia advancing to sectional play. He said he hit 17 greens and that the greens were tough to read. He will play the sectional on Settindown Creek at Ansley Golf Club Roswell Georgia on June 6.
