Lucy Heath, Aiken County champion, joins an online 1A Mini Spelling Bee with contestants from Ohio Texas and Michigan. The eighth grader missed a word and finished fourth as the Washington based event canceled the Scripps National Spelling Bee due to COVID-19. Heath remains eligible only if rules change.

15 virus cases confirmed at SRS
