County OKs first read of tiny home ordinances
Aiken County Council approved first readings of two ordinances addressing tiny homes and RV parks. One sets a 750 square foot limit for RC zoning, while the other restricts future RV parks to RUC RUD and UD districts. Tiny homes on wheels would be treated as recreational vehicles.

Oversight board eyed for MOX rework at Savannah River Site
An independent nuclear watchdog may monitor the MOX project at Savannah River Site as it evolves toward a weapons oriented future. In a May 7 letter to Rep. Jim Cooper the DNFSB chair said the board would review MOX design provide safety recommendations and periodically oversee construction and operation if it comes online as a plutonium pits production hub with at least 80 pits per year by 2030.
