Cain Says PSC Reform Battle Was Bitter Struggle
Marshall Cain of Aiken described the PSC reform bill as a bitter four week battle in the South Carolina House. He noted the governor's merit panel plan would exclude the legislature and outlined the compromise giving four panel appointments to the governor and two each to the house and senate. Cain also covered related education funding and upcoming capital improvements in Aiken, including USC Aiken and Aiken Technical College funding. The Aiken Rotary Club noted no meeting next Monday due to Memorial Day.
