Litter problem in Aiken highlighted in Keep Aiken Green series
The Aiken Standard reports on litter issues in Aiken as part of the Keep Aiken Green program. Lt Odenthal cites illegal dumping and load securing as causes while residents share actions like public trash cans. Fines for littering range by weight, with penalties up to 200 plus dollars and potential jail time, plus required litter pickup. Residents are urged to report violations via a 24 hour hotline and use Palmetto Pride guidance. Tripp Girardeau writes the piece.
