Davis May Sue UC Regents Over UCLA Employment
In Los Angeles Angela Davis suggested she could go to court to challenge the University of California regents authority to hire or fire her from UCLA. The regents decided to handle the employment issue themselves, with UCLA authorities relieved of decisions in the case. Arnold Kaufman of the UCLA American Federation of Teachers backed her in the fight to remain employed. In Washington Vice President Agnew jokingly hit Joseph Blatchford during Administration vs Congress tennis, helmet needed briefly before the match continued.
