Ring of Fire eclipse travels from Asia to Texas Sunday
The annular solar eclipse will create a bright ring across skies from eastern Asia to the western United States, with 33 national parks hosting viewing events and a two hour viewing window along an 8500 mile path. Observers urged to wear protective eyewear and avoid direct sun exposure. Astronomer Jay Pasachoff will accompany students in New Mexico for data collection during his 14th ring eclipse.
