Death Penalty Question in Aiken Murder Trial Denied

Circuit Judge Marion Kinon denied defense requests to exclude the death penalty and to allow a life without parole option in the Paul F. Koon murder case. Koon faces trial June 1 in Aiken County General Sessions Court after 27 pre-trial motions focused on South Carolina death penalty law. A 200-person jury pool will be summoned for the trial.
