State health authorities confirm 163 new COVID-19 cases in South Carolina with four in Aiken County and one in Edgefield. DHEC notes 5 more deaths statewide bringing totals to 8816 cases and 325 deaths. As of May 17 Aiken County shows 154 cases and seven deaths. A mobile unit will visit Edgefield County this week offering free tests.
