Planning group OKs hotel and restaurant project in Graniteville
Aiken County Planning Commission gave conditional approval for a Candlewood Suites hotel and a 36 seat Waffle House style restaurant on 341 acres near Interstates 20 and 11. The vote requires a traffic study and compliance with engineer recommendations. Remaining details include address 546 Bettis Academy Road and involvement of Southern Partners Inc and Bettis Road 200C. The panel also backed flood ordinance revisions 3 to 1 to meet FEMA and state requirements.
