South Carolina restores challenger to primary ballot
The South Carolina Election Commission told the state GOP it cannot recertify Katrina Shealy for the June primary after decertifying her for filing errors. The May 4 deadline for candidate lists remains binding, and the GOP moved to reinstate Shealy after Haley support, while Sen. Jake Knotts remains the rival in Lexington and won’t be replaced on ballots.
