Mental Health Center Begun By Volunteers
Volunteers started the Aiken County Mental Health Center under the Mental Health Association formed in 1964. Dr. Elna Lombard notes referrals from physicians courts police and ministers but favors self referrals. The center offers individual and group therapy play therapy teen sessions chaplain access and testing with a sliding fee scale and no inpatient services.
