Saluda man dies in two vehicle crash on Augusta Road
Saluda man Leonard Jackson, 72, died at the scene of a two vehicle collision on Augusta Road in Edgefield County. A juvenile driving a 2008 SUV turned onto Augusta Road from a private driveway and Jackson’s vehicle struck the SUV as he attempted to pass a third vehicle. The wreck sent Jackson’s car off the road into a ditch and it flipped catching fire. The juvenile and two other SUV occupants were treated at Aiken Regional Medical Centers for non life threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
