Williams Wins Re election at Aiken Electric Co op

Williams defeats two challengers Willie Bright and Rhett Covar by 434 to 245 and 164 respectively at the Aiken Electric Cooperative annual meeting. Furtick and Prosser also win easily as turnout runs 906 of 2500 eligible. Williams denies hiding expense charges and defends open records policy.

Bosnian Serbs Cast Ballots on UN Peace Plan

Westinghouse must repay $10 million to DOE over tax clause

The Energy Department orders Westinghouse Savannah River Co. to repay over ten million dollars it says was improperly reimbursed as relocation tax costs. Westinghouse claims the clause was omitted by a typographical error from a cost plus award fee contract and is pursuing legal action to keep the money. DOE says the base contract included the clause and was left out in negotiations.
