Death of Aiken winter resident Redmond noted
News from New York reports the death of Gerabyn L. Redmond aged about 44, a well known winter resident of Aiken who had owned the Gyles residence on lower Colleton Avenue. He died of blood poisoning after an illness following the winter season. The notice also mentions the death of Mrs John M. Dawyer of Aiken in Detroit, with her funeral held there Monday.

Reduced Water Rate For Gardens Approved In Aiken
The Commission of Public Works in Aiken approved a seasonal reduced water rate for lawn and garden use. From April to September, applicants who sign a form agree to terms, with charges at 1 cent per thousand gallons for usage above their past average at full price. Carb Market Talks Inspire Aiken Civic League Members
Dr B C McLean president of the Chamber of Commerce urged the women of the Aiken Civic League to aid the Citizens' Committee and support the new carb market. The group agreed to assist with a municipal swimming pool opening for summer, backed by the Kiwanis Club. A supervised playground project was also discussed for later consideration with the Chamber and city council.

Gas Mains Laid on Laurens Street in Augusta-Aiken plan
The Augusta gas company laid several joints of main on Laurens Street in front of Mayor Henderson’s residence following a franchise grant. Full laying of the main line is slated to start June 1 and be completed by October 1 as it pipes gas to Aiken from Augusta.
