Aiken County reviews proposed 2019 20 budget plan
County Council Chairman Gary Bunker led the first work session at the Aiken County Government Center on the proposed 2019 2020 budget. County Administrator Clay Killian and staff outlined revenue and expenditure projections including a possible across the board raise for county workers. The draft budget contemplates a property tax millage increase for the first time since 2017 and items to raise additional revenue such as interest on financial assets building permits and RMC fees while considering potential health insurance cost reductions from a self funding plan.
