Red Carpet Rolls Out For National Tourism Week
Visitors to the South Carolina Welcome Center in North Augusta enjoyed a visitor appreciation day with a red carpet event. The event featured coupons for tourism maps, a $1,600 grant funded map by local high school art students, a clown named Jolly, pig skins fried by Lynn Kirkland, and participation from the North Augusta Chamber of Commerce and the Midian Valley Area Chamber of Commerce along with the town of Salley. A framed copy was given to the center, and maps cost five dollars each.
