Drive n' Dine aids area seniors in line of cars
Aiken Senior Life Services held the first Drive n' Dine event in a parking lot on East Pine Log Road with seniors receiving brown bags of milk, juice, snacks, and meals from Blue Collard. Volunteers verified state IDs as Caregivers could pick up meals for seniors. CARES Act funds supported the effort with partners Feasters Foods, All-Star Tents & Events, USC Aiken, and US Food.

Aiken County Board to discuss 2020 21 calendar and FFCRA leave
The Aiken County School Board will vote tonight on a revised 2020 2021 calendar prepared by a panel of Teacher of the Year and Principal of the Year recipients. The plan sets Aug 17 as start for students and Aug 10 for teachers with a last day of June 10 for students and June 11 for teachers. The meeting also covers FFCRA leave rules and the first reading of the budget calendar impacted by COVID 19. The board meets virtually at 6 pm and will stream on the district Facebook page.
