Washington AP A top Department of Energy official conceded that two Washington state whistleblowers faced retaliation after testifying to a House subcommittee about Hanford safety problems. Under Secretary Joseph Salgado said the department failed to protect Casey Ruud and James Simpkin and called the handling negligent and sending the wrong message to safety concerned employees.

Transplant Recipient Dies Of Organ Failure
Pittsburgh report states Tabatha Foster of Madisonville Kentucky died at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh after a six month battle following a five organ transplant. The 3 year old, who weighed 36 pounds, had the world’s longest survival after the experimental operation ending November 1.
