Sign plan targets 2200 intersections for safety funding
A $2.5 million safety program will fund low cost improvements at 2200 intersections statewide, about 1 percent of the state system but accounting for 67 percent of crashes. In Aiken County 75 intersections are on the master list including Whiskey Road East Pine Log Road 118 bypass and Columbia Highway N Reynolds Pond Road.
