Gunman who shot at Case Western had sued school employee
A camouflaged gunman, 52, opened fire in Case Western Reserve University's Peter B. Lewis Building during a seven hour standoff, killing a student and wounding two others. He had previously sued an employee at the school, which was later dismissed, and he was wounded and taken into custody. Eighty to ninety eight people were trapped inside during the siege as police and SWAT faced design challenges in the Gehry building.
