Oldest league bowler Bill Hargrove dies at 106
Bill Hargrove, the nation’s oldest league bowler, has died at 106 from congestive heart failure at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. A Clermont resident, he gained national fame in 2007 when the USBC named him the oldest league bowler ever after his 106th birthday. He began bowling in 1924, initially as a duckpin player before switching to tenpin.

Military to redo cremation policy after pet remains issue
The Pentagon recommends separating human and animal cremations after revelations a military contracted facility handled both. Dover Port Mortuary uses two funeral homes. one handles human remains only, the other processes both human and animal remains. Officials apologize for the insensitivity and offer families options to use a human-only facility or have remains sent to a local funeral home at military expense.
