County budget calls for tax hike in Aiken County
Aiken County Administrator Clay Killian outlined a 2019 2020 budget proposing a property tax increase from 68.5 to 71.6 mills and a $5 vehicle road maintenance hike to 25. The plan also raises the 911 landline tariff to 1 per month and includes no salary increases. The balanced budget trims new positions and programs, using non recurring funds last year, and totals 168 698 242 for all funds with the 72 048 277 General Fund.
