York County voters approved a one cent local option sales tax two years ago, raising over 99 million dollars for paving dirt roads and capital projects. Officials say the tax will be discarded 18 to 24 months early, with proceeds funding roads bridges sewers and water lines as a November referendum seeks to authorize continued local funding.
