US UK complete transfer of highly enriched uranium from UK site
The U S Department of Energy and Nuclear Security Administration announce a multi year effort to move about 700 kilograms of highly enriched uranium from Dounreay on the Scottish coast to the United States for down blending into reactor fuel. Key figures include NIEA chief Lisa Gordon Hagerty and UK NDA CEO David Peattie.
