Ice storm funds included in Senate budget for 22 counties
The 2016 17 South Carolina Senate budget includes about 12 million dollars for 22 counties affected by the February 2014 ice storm. Aiken County could receive around 4.7 million and the City of Aiken about 300 thousand dollars, with North Augusta around 115 thousand. Debris removal costs were about 33.2 million in Aiken County and 2 million in the City of Aiken, with federal reimbursements covering most but not all expenses.
