Haas Sets Quail Hollow Opening Record in 64
Bill Haas fired an 8-under 64 at Quail Hollow to tie the Wells Fargo Championship opening-round record. He led a crowded leaderboard as David Toms and Jonathan Byrd posted 66 while Rory McIlroy stumbled early. Pat Perez and Lucas Glover balanced 67 as Rickie Fowler’s group led at 68. Phil Mickelson struggled with two water balls but recovered to 69.
