Aiken Woman Sentenced In Death Of Husband
A 43 year old Aiken County woman Irene Glover Hazel pleaded guilty to manslaughter for the January 5 1974 death of her husband Willie Lee Hazel in a carport shooting. Judge Julius B Ness sentenced her to six years with three years to serve and five years probation. Investigators said Hazel shot the victim with a 22 caliber pistol through a screen door after an argument over his leaving the home.
