Community notices honor Addison Wayne Smith 20 of Aiken who died May 1 2011 from an automobile accident and Arline Loughlin Philipp 85 who died May 2 2011 after a cancer battle. Services for Smith include Couchton Baptist Church at 1 PM Wednesday with interment at Aiken Memorial Gardens. Philipp’s graveside service is at St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church Cemetery with clergy Reverend Grant Wiseman. Family thanks nurses at Aiken Regional Medical Center and Trinity Hospice for care. He was 58 and survived by wife Teresa sons Greg Brian and Matthew daughters in law Jessica and Becky eight grandchildren Brittany Kay Lee Debra Alexis Kember Gabe Grayson and Nicholas. A memorial service will be held May 13 at 10 00 a m at Aiken Memorial Gardens Edgefield Highway with Rev Henry Cook and Bertha directing. Contributions may be made to Relay for Life in his name.
