Lewis Maxwell Maxie Rutland 78 of North Augusta died April 29 2017. Funeral services were held May 8 at Mt Calvary Lutheran Church Johnston with interment in the church cemetery. He served in the SC National Guard during Vietnam era and worked 26 years at Graniteville Company. He supported St James Lutheran Church Graniteville and coached Dixie Youth baseball. He is survived by wife Sara, children Rodney and Sara Anne, a niece and siblings, with five grandchildren. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers listed. Memorials to St James Lutheran Church.
