Body found in wooded area ruled a homicide
A body located on Hamelin Road in Aiken County was identified as 37 year old Kevin M. Holder of Swansea. An autopsy showed death by gunshot wound and the case is being investigated as a homicide. Police said the inquiry is ongoing and the coroner's office confirmed the identity. The 911 call came in at 4 19 pm after a property owner discovered the body. Swansea Police and Lexington County Sheriff's Department officials could not be reached for comment.

Farmers react to extra rainfall in Aiken area
April showers delivered well above normal rainfall at Augusta Regional Airport 423 inches and unofficial Aiken totals around 5.09 inches.
