Aiken Lobster Festival Debuts Heritage Cycling Series Race
A community event in Aiken draws 6 000 to 10 000 spectators yearly for a lobster festival and street party. This year features live bands and a kiddie bike race behind the Aiken Municipal Complex. The South Carolina Heritage Cycling Series finale runs Friday with 50 laps downtown starting at 7 pm. Viktor Rapinski, Danny Pate, Roberto Gaggioli and Chi's Hornet lead the field, while lobsters cost five dollars for most attendees.
