Wayward Lass Scratched for Kentucky Oaks Derby Field
In Louisville the filly Wayward Lass withdrew from tomorrow's Derby, owner Carl Lizza choosing to run her in the Oaks instead. Flying Nashua was kept out by a 20-horse field limit and post 20, forcing a late decision that could have altered the Derby roster. Proud Appeal led early betting at 2-1, with Pleasant Colony at 4-1 after an upset Wood Memorial win.
