Easter in Athens People observe Christos Anesti among refugees
Dr. Vinton reports from Athens on Easter rituals among refugees and orphans aided by Near East Relief. The night service in the Cathedral draws five thousand worshippers in a city awash with bells and candles, while daily Bible study and devotions flourish in American orphanages and camps. The piece links these devotions to Paul’s remark about a “very religious” people and notes America’s broader humanitarian role in the Levant.

Opposition as Help in Life and Harmony of Nature
A reflective meditation compares life to a school for the afterlife where harmony rules all natural laws. It questions where false notes and discordant static will intrude upon the eternal symphonies and seeks meaning in the balance of opposition and order.
