Pedestrian Fatality on York Street in Aiken

An Aiken woman, Lakisha Nicole Thomas, died after being struck by a 2006 Jeep Cherokee driven by Thomas G. Woodruff Jr. while walking with her 2-year-old son on York Street near Eastern Place. Thomas died from multiple body trauma while undergoing surgery at Georgia Regents Medical Center around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
