North Augusta man identified among Spartanburg crash victims
Spartanburg County coroner confirms two of six victims from the March 19 wreck in Spartanburg. Brandon Simpkins, 30, of North Augusta, drove the car struck by a semi. Jermy Givens-Reedus, 29, of North Chicago, Illinois, was a front seat passenger. Police say the collision near exit 41 involved a tractor trailer, SUV, two cars and a pedestrian. Investigators took days to confirm all fatalities as the coroner’s office identifies the remaining four victims.

A juvenile problem at Leavelle McCampbell Middle School in Graniteville led to various calls. A Edgefield man reported business fuel card fraud totaling 1600 dollars. Domestic incidents were reported at multiple residences on Valley Drive Bainbridge Street and Hutchinson Drive involving several residents. A 21 year old from Aiken was found wanted by North Augusta Public Safety and arrested. A burglary on Biscayne Road involved a gun taken from a bedroom. A Warrenville resident reported a threat to set a house on fire with children inside and a firearm, tied to a Facebook acquaintance.
