Aiken police blotter reports shoplifting and gunfire
An Augusta woman and a Hephizbah woman were detained for shoplifting at Aiken Mall. A witness saw a light colored Cadillac firing a gun on Audubon Drive. Shell casings were found. Other break ins and burglaries were reported on several roads in Aiken North Augusta Warrenville and Beech Island. A gun was missing from a Beech Island theft.

Vandalized stump carved with name JOe shocks Graniteville area
Aiken County Sheriffs Office reports a contracting crew cut a tree stump on Ridge Road at Ascauga Lake Road into a penis shape with JOe carved on it. Investigators located the stump and crew on Ascanga Lake Road as an employee offered to remove it with a chainsaw. The employee apologized for the incident. In a separate case, Michael Croom was detained for disorderly conduct after a rear-end collision on Rudy Mason Parkway. He argued with the Honda driver and was removed from the vehicle. the Honda driver faced a careless driving citation and did not press charges.
