Worker Blames Union Campaign For Troubles

Jackson man Gary McClain, a 47 year old Tenneco worker, told an NLRB judge that his trouble with the Beech Island plant began after he began campaigning for a union. He says others at the plant supported a union and was briefly jailed in July following a confrontation, then held in a psychiatric hospital before his release. He filed a multi million dollar suit asserting constitutional rights were violated.

Bond set for Kneece in murder case

Ethridge Kneece, 60, of Trenton, S.C., will be allowed to return to South Carolina while awaiting a June trial on two counts of capital murder after a Benton County judge set a $200,000 bond.
