Arrest Made in Warrenville Residential Arson Case
Kenneth William Treadaway was arrested on Carline Road after a Monday 7:33 a.m. fire at an unoccupied, under renovation home on 1700 block of Augusta Road. Witnesses described a suspect fleeing the back door. A tip led to the arrest. no injuries reported.

Aiken Public Safety reports three unknown women left a restaurant without paying on Aiken Mall Drive. A man reported a scam claiming U S Marshals would arrest him if he did not send funds. A woman was targeted by a Publishers Clearing House scam demanding a cashier’s check. A 31 year old woman said her boyfriend assaulted her amid a cigarette and cleanliness dispute. Beech Island and Johnston vandalism incidents included a rock strike on a windshield and a broken window. Burglaries occurred on Bent Arrow Road Beech Island Ca price Lane and Pickens Avenue. Vehicles were stolen on Green Street Graniteville and Wire Road.

Ex-husband jailed after alleged machete attack
Paul David Tyler, 49, of Ridge Road in Clarks Hill, was charged with criminal domestic violence and third degree assault and battery after driving into his ex-wife's Graniteville home, attacking a television with a machete, throwing a hammer, and injuring a foot during the incident. He remained in the Aiken County detention center Thursday morning.

Ex-Girlfriend Strikes Man With Beer Bottle in Aiken
An Aiken man reported that his ex-girlfriend assaulted him with a beer bottle as he walked to a gas station near Berkley Street. He said she attacked from the front, fled, and he was left with a bloodied face before police transported him to Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A warrant will be sought for assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.

Woman declines to press charges after theft at gas station
A North Augusta woman refused to press charges after a man grabbed cash from her hand at a Warrenville gas station on Augusta Road near 12:40 a.m. Thursday. The victim identified the suspect but said she does not know why she waited 40 minutes to call police.
