Rampage at Paris suburb council meeting shocks nation
In Nanterre near Paris a man opened fire at a city council meeting. Eight people died and 19 were wounded before he was restrained. The suspect, 33 year old Richard Dunn, reportedly used two automatic pistols and a revolver and had attended meetings before. Prime Minister Jospin called it furious dementia. a presidential candidate described it as such.
