14 year old suspect to be tried as adult
Monetta a 14 year old social education student at Ridge Spring Monetta Middle School will be tried as an adult after attempting to sexually assault a teacher at the school Monday. Ridge Spring Police Chief Robert Lee said the female teacher was tutoring him after school when the assault occurred. The teacher sustained scrapes and bruises and the bond was set at 75000 in Saluda Magistrates Court. The teen is held at the Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia on attempted Criminal Sexual Conduct Third Degree.
