Court awards full ownership of SS Republic wreck to Odyssey
A federal judge grants Odyssey Marine Exploration of Tampa full title to the Civil War era wreck SS Republic. The company has recovered about 52,000 coins valued up to 180 million dollars with more coins expected. Odyssey holds salvage rights and will continue excavation in 1,700 feet of water 100 miles southeast of Savannah.

Dixie Lee restaurant closing after decades in the Valley

Three workers at the Hanford nuclear site were treated after a possible vapor exposure near a pit. CH2M Hill suspended nonessential access to tank farms as investigations continue into toxic vapors from 177 underground tanks holding about 53 million gallons of radioactive waste.
