Junc Hollow Wins Imperial Cup After Foul Claim
Junc Hollow, a five year old gray gelding trained by J J Weipert, won the Imperial Cup at the Aiken Hunt Meet amid a late foul claim by Breaking Dawn's jockey alleging interference on the final turn. Stewards ruled the claim unfounded and Junc Hollow secured the $7,500 purse followed by Breaking Dawn in second and Antigua Star in third. The owner and trainer expressed relief and praised the winner, with plans for Camden and possibly the Carolina Cup depending on fitness.
