Warrenville man charged with arson in trailer fire

Tony Rutland 59 of Saddle Horse Road faces second degree arson and first degree burglary charges after a February 27 trailer fire on Saddle Horse Road. Deputies say Rutland admitted ownership of the land but not the trailer and allegedly urged burning the trailer, with warrants detailing willful arson. He was jailed at the Aiken County detention center.

Bond Denied for Aiken Man in Breakers Gas Station Shooting

An Aiken County judge denied bond Thursday for Demarkus Jayquan Harris 20 of Union Baptist Lane on four counts of attempted murder unlawful carrying of a pistol and possession of a firearm during a crime in a Feb 2 shooting near the Breakers gas station on University Parkway Investigators say witnesses and physical evidence linked Harris to the case while he was on probation and a prior bond was in place.

Wisconsin bank rampage stemmed from domestic dispute

Police say a man opened fire in Marathon Savings Bank in Rothschild, killing two employees Dianne Look and Karen Barclay, then killed attorney Sarah Quirtman at a Schofield firm before a standoff at an Weston apartment complex. Detective Jason Weiland was fatally shot responding to the scenes. The suspect was captured after a long standoff. Police labeled it a domestic incident with few other details provided.
